ABOUT VÍFILL

We are a musical ensemble trying to recreate the sound of the Middle Ages using authentic medieval instruments! A lot of what we play is from Spain and France, but we also venture into the British Isles. The music spans the time period between 1200 and 1500, the periods traditionally known as the High and Late Middle Ages. We can entertain the audience with a varied repertoire, from religious music in Latin, via the dancing music of the Pilgrims, to Norwegian translations of secular songs.
